10 Types of Social Media Posts New Coaches Need to Get Clients Fast

Starting your coaching journey? That’s fantastic! I’m sure you’re eager to start posting on social media to call in new clients, but might be wondering, “What should I post about?!” In this blog I’ll show you ten different types of social media posts that can help you get new coaching clients fast. I’ll also provide links to some valuable external resources that will further assist you on your path to coaching success. If you also need help with the structure of your posts, check out this blog with my favorite post template.

1. Connect on a Personal Level

One of the most effective ways to resonate with your audience is by sharing your personal story. The key is to be authentic and relatable. Open up about your own struggles and how coaching transformed your life. New clients are more likely to trust a coach they can connect with on a personal level. Don’t assume anyone remembers anything you’ve shared before either, so don’t be afraid to share the same stories over and over again!

2. Educational Gems

Offering valuable insights and knowledge positions you as a thought leader in your field. Write posts that educate your audience about common challenges they face. For example, if you’re a life coach for new corporate girlies, create posts about personal development techniques that work for your commute or stress management tips to do between Zoom calls. Show them you have the expertise to help them with their specific problems.

3. Share Testimonials & Success Stories

Nothing speaks louder than success stories. Share stories of past clients who achieved remarkable results through your coaching. These real-life examples serve as powerful testimonials and a shining beacon for potential clients looking for proof of your effectiveness. Don’t have any case studies yet? I bet you’re forgetting those volunteer hours you’ve spent supporting your colleagues through tough transitions, advice you’ve given your friends over the years, or that management job you have that requires you to coach your employees everyday! Think creatively here until you have past client reviews to leverage.

4. Engaging Q&A Sessions

Host Q&A sessions or “ask me anything” options. Encourage your audience to ask questions about coaching, YOU, personal development, or whatever aligns with your niche. Respond personally, demonstrating your willingness to help and creating a sense of community.

5. Facts About Me / Introduction

Tell your community about who you are! Remember that as you are bringing in new people to your social media accounts, that means there is a whole bunch of folks that need to get to know you! Even if you feel like you’ve shard everything you possibly can about yourself and your story already, re-start the journey! Re-tell your story! It’s okay to repeat yourself. And, by recalling your past experiences again, you may uncover new insights or ah-ha’s you hadn’t noticed before.

6. Empathy-Fueled Problem Solving

Write posts addressing specific problems your ideal clients face. Offer empathetic solutions. Show them you understand their challenges and have the tools to help. This fosters a sense of connection and trust. Be sure to tell them about how you understand what they’re going through because you have been in a similar situation or experienced a similar challenge.

7. Value-Packed Freebies

Create downloadable resources like e-books, checklists, or templates related to your coaching niche. Use posts to promote these freebies in exchange for email subscriptions. This helps you build your email list and nurture leads!

8. Engage with Trending Topics

Stay current. Write posts that relate to trending topics or news within your niche. This keeps your content fresh and relevant, attracting clients seeking up-to-date solutions. Need an idea for this? 10. Actionable Tips and Challenges

End your posts with actionable tips or challenges. Encourage readers to take a step towards their goals, which may involve reaching out to you for coaching.
