Please hear me when I say that you being here – right here – reading this sentence (yes, THIS SENTENCE) tells me that you are ready to stop stalling your growth and that the pull you’ve been feeling to work with a Business Coach to develop and sell your own transformational coaching program is your next best step. As Coaches, we often help people make well-aligned decisions, and if you were coaching yourself, would you recommend you take action and do what needs to be done to work on growing your own coaching business? “I haven’t worked with enough coaching clients to know my niche yet…”

It makes sense that you’d want to look at all the people you’ve helped and figure out what common theme you’ve helped them with because that means you don’t have to do the hardest part of developing your niche which is reflect on your own personal growth journey. It is safer to look at other people’s needs and journey’s and speak about them. But instead, I challenge you to dig deep and develop and authentic coaching niche that is well-aligned with your unique experiences, skills, passions, and education. There is a signature program inside of you that ONLY YOU can offer. If you don’t dig deep and reflect on all the challenges you’ve been through and lessons you’ve gained, you will ultimately get bored of what you’re trying to sell, or worse, develop an inauthentic coaching business brand you hate to work in because you can’t really be your true self and always feel like you are faking it. But that’s not why you wanted to start your own coaching business in the first place, right? You want to be yourself! You want to be known and appreciated for the unique views YOU have on some of the hardest problems out there. You don’t shy away from challenges just because they sound difficult. You love to help your clients reach their DREAMS! I promise you that you already have everything you need to be ready to develop your signature transformational program, and I can help coach it out of you and help you refine it into a cohesive program you can confidently and consistently sell.

“I haven’t made enough money in my coaching business to cover my investment in Passion To Paychecks…”

Have you ever heard the phrase, “It takes money to make money?” Well, this is one of those moments where it really does. I know it’s scary to take a risk on yourself and dive into your coaching business with complete commitment and trust in yourself. But think of it this way… If you price your signature program for even 1/3rd of the investment for Passion To Paychecks you will only need to make three sales to return your investment. Now, I have never had a client complete Passion To Paychecks and not make at least 3 sales (usually it’s been like 5-10 sales during their first launch of their new program) but if you just made THREE sales you could cover your investment. No. Developing your coaching brand and program (so you can sell it) should come first. When we get to step 4 we’ll talk about the logistics of registering your business so you can accept money when you’re ready to sign up your first client.

YES! If you do not have your signature coaching program fully developed yet, it is holding your sales back. To confidently sell your coaching program, you need to develop your program first because it’s really hard to market something you don’t know anything about!

No, and I say that as a coaching business owner for the last 5 years, and as someone with a Masters of Education, that teaches Counseling Skills to graduate students… I don’t believe you need a coaching certification.

You DO need coaching skills that you may have gained through a coaching certification program, past professional experience, or other educational experiences like earning a degree. You should feel capable as a coach before signing up.

P.S. Your certification is never what will sell someone on wanting to work with you. Your passion for why you do what you do, your clarity on what you can help them achieve, and your program being in alignment with their needs is what will sell your coaching.

No! You should have a signature transformational program that you can sell over and over and over again. Whether you offer your signature program to one-on-one coaching clients, small group coaching clients, large group coaching clients, or even modify it into a course — your same program materials are the foundation. Successful coaches have a signature transformational program to sell.

Yup! That’s where I come in. The first step in your workbook is all about clarifying the exact transformation you provide and for who. Then, when we have your first coaching call, I will help you hone in on exactly what your signature transformation is all about. Together, we’ll clarify your coaching niche, elevate your expertise, and make sure your marketing message and branding is crystal clear! 

Yes. To make consistent coaching sales, your marketing requires clarity on “The 4 Ps of Marketing” (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion).

As a coach, your Product is your signature coaching program. Your Price is dependent upon what all you package into your product.

So then, once you have your program is developed and priced, we’ll design your unique marketing and sales funnel so you can confidently show up and sell your coaching! 

YES! Once you know the exact transformation you provide and for who, writing your social media posts (and your website, emails, and social media bio) will all be soooooo much easier!!!! Your specialty will be so clear to you that you will EASILY be able to talk about it in your social media posts, and every piece of what you cover in your signature program will be what you’ll teach about in your social media posts! It can easily transfer and we’ll make sure you know the most important topics to cover so your posts lead to followers and those followers become buyers!!

We don’t know yet! In Step 1 you’ll clarify exactly who you help and what you help them do so you know the exact transformation you provide. From there, we’ll better be able to decide how long that transformation might take and what all someone would need to know, therefore telling us how long your program will be. I do not provide a cookie-cutter approach to program development.

Absolutely not. You are your own unique person and what works for me may not work for you. My job as a Business Development Coach is not to tell you to do exactly what I did that worked for me. Just like your job as a coach isn’t to tell your clients exactly what to do either. 

I will help you figure out what is right for you.

Nope! You do need to have a few core pieces in place (your program materials, clarity on your pricing, how to accept payment, and client agreement forms)… But connecting with potential clients doesn’t require a website. Does it help? Sure. Is it required? No. 

I trained to be a coach through studying Psychology during my Honors Bachelors of Science degree, Researching Mentorship as part of my Honors thesis, and during my Masters of Education. Part of my Masters of Education, required an Area of Specialization. I received an Area of Specialization in Program Development.

I have practiced my coaching skills as an Academic Advisor, Academic Counselor, and Coach since 2014. I also completed the Confidence Life Coach Certification from Transformation Services, Inc. to see if I was missing anything. Furthermore, I’ve co-developed the Liberatory Mentorship for Women of Color Model, and am co-authoring the book Liberationships to help shape the future of “mentorship” relationships.

What all of that ^ means is I’m a nerd about best practices for helping people grow and develop into their best selves, and I’ve spent a crap ton of time studying and practicing and researching and writing about how to be a better helper.

Ultimately, what that means for YOU is that I am a pretty fantastic coach. I can listen deeply, read non-verbal cues, and analyze your words on a deeper level than most Business Coaches can. Additionally, my Area of Specialization in Program Development means that you are not only getting my professional experiences as an Educator, Advisor, and Coach applied to your coaching business, but you are also getting the academic side of Program Development applied to your unique coaching program. This means you can confidently sell your coaching program knowing that I’ve helped you shape it.

A Sales funnel is the process in which you help strangers learn about what you do, decide if they like what you do, and ultimately sign up clients that are good fits for your offers.
