You may have seen me in:
I didn’t always have my own business…
Just a few years ago you would’ve found me advising university students on their academic major and career decisions… and saying “yes” to everything that ANYONE asked me to do (like a “good” people-pleaser).
I thought I had found the “perfect” path for me. I thought I’d always be satisfied with my small, windowless office with back-to-back appointments (with little time for pee breaks!), because it meant I’d have a stable paycheck at the end of the month doing work that helped students reach their goals of obtaining a college degree.
Slowly, I started sinking into depression and experiencing anxiety. I recognized how many of my life decisions I had made for OTHER people, and was tired of feeling stuck in a life I didn’t feel at home in.
At the age of 25 I took a big risk to pursue my dream of starting my own business.
While working full-time, I invested more money than my car was worth in my business dreams. This took so much courage for me to do because growing up in a very unstable financial environment, I was more likely to save every penny I had than buy myself new socks, even if they had holes in them.
I went on to surprise myself and doubled my investment just 3 months after launching my first coaching program!
That one courageous action set me on the path to where I am today; running a successful online business, leading a powerful community, consulting with big organizations, speaking at events, living my dream life, and doing work I LOVE every day!
I truly feel at home in my career and life now.
I love getting to help new entrepreneurs with a history of people-pleasing reclaim their power and courageously pursue their dream of starting a coaching business that helps them shine.
I believe that you know yourself best. I also know how hard it can be to see and accept all of your self-knowledge.
So I’m on a mission to help you align what you DO with who you truly ARE so that you can have more fun selling your coaching programs, make a bigger impact on the world, and reach your career goals…
Because I believe that the world is a better place for all of us when YOU do work you love.
I want to help you achieve the clarity, courage, and confidence it takes to reach your biggest business goals without burning out!
Did you know?
- 1. Comfort food to me is homemade Zereshk Polo (a Persian chicken and rice dish), just like my dad taught me how to make.
- 2. I’m a Mentorship Researcher and Author. I wrote my Honors thesis for my Psychology degree on the value of mentorship relationships, and co-developed a theory on Liberatory relationship for women of color that I am co-authoring a book about that will be published in about 2 years. Keep an eye out for Liberationships.
- 3. My MBTI type is INFJ. I am very good at truly seeing people, understanding their needs, and anticipating their needs (people-pleasing strength!) that has been expanded through knowledge I’ve gained from my masters of education degree, my psychology degree, experience in an emotional intelligence research lab, and years of working one-on-one with thousands of people.
- 4. I identify as Neurodivergent. I came to understand and identify with this title as I healed my childhood traumas from being sexually, physically, and emotionally abused. I was diagnosed with PTSD in 2017 when I first started to acknowledge my childhood abuse. In 2021 I was diagnosed with ADHD and OCD. I’m still exploring all of my nuances, and I enjoy learning more about myself, my story, my needs, and how to love myself more fully. I think it makes me a better coach to more authentically accept myself and my gifts and flaws.
- 5. Those who know me best describe me as: nurturing, deeply sincere, resourceful, joyful, and genuinely interested in helping you succeed however I can (and yeah, I asked them).
